Notes

In 1943, Theodore Pitcairn purchased a summer house (fig. 1) in Oyster Harbors, Cape Cod. This painting was integrated with three other paintings ([PS 536], [PS 528] and [PS 533]) in the wood-paneled walls of the dining room.
